Windows Help Services

Here is the Windows Help Services section of the Mind Loop Home Page.  The Windows Help Services is a collection of tips, guides and questions and answers.  

 

Quick Help

You can ask any type of question about Windows (for example, "MSN Messenger always starts with my computer, however it's not in the start up group.  How do I get rid of it?".  The answer would be posted on this web site within 1 hour to 2 days time.  If Mind Loop can't come up the answer, the question will be posted on here, and some other people can answer it.

You can also upload any tip (for example. "You can use MSCONFIG.EXE to remove programs from the start up groups") or any type of tutorial (for example "The guide to making the Internet Connection Sharing program work").  It will be posted here where people can download and add to it.

Please Note: It is not just about Windows.  It can also be about programs that run on Windows.  (for example. "When I go into Tony Hawks 2 and left or right in the main menu, the game exists to the Desktop" or "There is a plugin for Winamp that lets you go back and forward in the playlist that sites in the system tray.  Its called the Nullsoft Tray Control plugin."  If you have a programming question you can ask it as well. (for example "Can you give me an example of ShellExecute." or "To use the MSIE control in BCB 4 do this WebBrowser1->Navigate((WideString)Edit1->Text)")

When uploading a question, tip or tutorial please supply a little bit about yourself, such as your homepage (if you have one), your nick name, country etc.
